Red Wagon and Pinecones

Palmer enjoys anything with wheels and has recently taken an interest in his red wagon, often asking "ride wagon". On this particular outing, I thought it would be fun to pick up the numerous pinecones that had spotted the yard. Welcome to Houston, where I'm fairly certain the state tree is a pine...thus all the pinecones. Therefore, I thought we could have a nature lesson, And clean up the yard...ya' know, that whole two birds thing!

As you'll see, he likes to operate the wagon himself...pushing, pulling, whatever works. As he got close to the car I said "watch out for the car, you're getting a little close". Now, every time he gets close to the car, house, tree, anything for that matter, he says, "watch out for the xxx". He catches on quick!

Checking it out for himself!

All's clear, if he can fit between the car and the wagon, right?!

Pushing...which is actually pretty tough in the grass!

Now, we must dump out all the pinecones that we had collected. So, instead of being scattered throughout the yard, they now sit in one little area all together!!

Starting Over

I thought I'd give this another shot...because Palmer is getting bigger by the minute, and I know there are a lot of people that want updates on him more frequently than I've been sharing.

He's 2 and 1/4 years old now, and becoming so independent. He likes to put his own clothes and shoes on, and do a lot of things for himself...often telling us, "No Mommy" or "No Daddy" when He wants to do it.

He loves to sing, and has about 10 songs in his repertoire...some that you can really hear the rythym and, most of the time, the words...like ABCD's (same version as ABC's); Row, row, row your boat; Itsy Bitsy (how he requests the song); Wheels Bus Round and Round (how he requests the song); Baa Baa black sheep; Fire truck song; garbage truck song; red wagon song - these last three are songs on a cd he loves; and there are a few others I'm forgetting.

Without further ado, I now present you with some current pictures of Palmer! Enjoy! I'm really going to try to keep up with this blog, so check back often, not quite everyday, but often!! :)
